Imagine it. The waves belonging to the quaint fishing village of Staithes gently wash over the stones at the dock. The haze of a warm summer breeze casts its shadow over your easel as you stand back and admire your first masterpiece of the afternoon. You then saunter back to a gorgeous room in an authentic fishing cottage to get ready for a delicious evening meal at the local pub overlooking the sea.
Mastering the Art is thrilled to offer a set of painting weekend retreats in Staithes, North Yorkshire. When you attend one of our painting holidays, you can expect to spend three nights in the most charming accommodation and receive three days of tutoring with Sky Arts portrait and Landscape Artist, Lynton Parmar-Hemsley.
During your stay, you will be placed in one of four accommodation blocks - Sunday School, Smugglers Studio above Staithes Art Gallery, Laura Knight Studio or Kindly Light Chapel. Each accommodation block is steeped in history yet tastefully renovated to make for a cozy and truly luxurious stay.
